Welcome to the "official" website for the North Carolina Butt Blast! This event will be the fifth gathering of Eggheads and people who like good barbecue from North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Similar to Big Green Egg festivals, we will have a lot of people cooking on Big Green Eggs and offering up all kinds of barbecue. This year the event will be held in memory of our good friend, Dr. Brent Alan Murphy:

The event is being organized by members of the Big Green Egg forum. There is a large group of organizers known as CHUBB, which stands for Council of Hacks Underwriting Butt Blast.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 10AM-3PM in Dan Nicholas Park. We have reserved Shelter Number 2 (pictured above) in the Park for the Event. The park is very family friendly and there are many activities for families with children.
The event is free and open to the public, but we are asking everyone to register so that we can get a good head count and coordinate activities. Everyone is asked to register for the event at this page. Please register as soon as possible to help us with planning the event.
